Insulating-Swelling Pads to Protect Door Lock Against Passing Through High Temperatures During Fire

In case of fire the metal door lock is one of weak elements of every door, because metal is a good heat conductor. That is why a solution we recommend is application on both sides the inserts to protect the door lock which actively prevent against passing through the heat. In case of fire the insert, swelling, fills up all the gaps and creates a perfect insulating layer, which protect against passing through fire, smoke and toxic gases and temperature. Pads, which protect the Palstop® door lock with a standard thickness 1,0 mm are manufactured in the sizes accommodated to typical door lock used by door manufacturers. On the customer’s wish these pads can be made in accordance with the technical drawing delivered. The protective pads for the Palstop® door locks are installed from both sides of the door lock pocket. Thanks to this the door reaches the fire resistance from 30 to 90 minutes. The pads, protecting the door locks are the solution, which perfectly worked at many door manufacturers during fire tests and this is the reason why they are applied by a growing group of these manufacturers.
