Growing care of safety of persons in buildings has caused changes in the fire prevention provisions and necessity of use the technology and products which fulfil higher and higher safety requirements. A company, which specialises in production of a wide range of various fire – protecting materials is Messrs „Branddex” Sp. z o.o. situated in Stargard Szczeciński. The company is a manufacturer of swelling and cooling – isolating fire – protecting materials, stable to the heat up to 1100°C and used in the fire protection in the building industry and shipbuilding. The fire – protecting materials manufactured by „Branddex” company are of the ecological type and characterise with basically contrary and unique formula of the chemical contents comparing with the products of the competition. These materials are used by the manufacturers of modern products and systems used in the fire protection technique and achieving a high level of the fire-fighting safety would be difficult to implement.

The necessity of use the new fire protection techniques, which indispensable component are PALSTOP® products, is dictated by an emergence of the modern building technologies, readily used by designers who wish to meet continuously increasing Investors’ requirements. The PALSTOP® materials, thanks to their really very high effectiveness of acting and small dimensions, allow to implement them in the building enterprises with the liberty practically unlimited. Their small weight and thicknesses allow to free composing them in various constructions without a necessity to implement changes.

PALSTOP are the materials, which can be used in many fields. They are used successfully in the building industry and shipbuilding as an effective supplement to the fire-fighting protection system. PALSTOP is easy to built-in constructions because of its small thickness. Activation of the protective properties at relatively low temperatures allows to protect against spreading of fire and smoke in an effective way.

- As a protecting against fire of the constructions inside of the aluminium and steel profiles of the glazed systems of facades, doors and windows in the form of insulating – cooling inserts.

- In doors and windows – a protection of gaps between door and window leaves and frames and between window panels and frames by means of expanding gaskets

- Protection of the entire constructional surfaces or their elements, for example doors, ceilings, inner parts of roofs, partition walls etc. against fire and high temperatures.

- Fire enclosures for technological conduits (bands for pipes) and cable passages through walls and  ceilings – so called kabelbox

- Protection of revision flaps, channels and venting grates

- Fire protection of steely decks and bulkheads on ships and drilling platforms

Fire – protecting plates of the new generation – cooling and insulating in case of fire. Palstop® PAx  are the plates widely used in many kinds of fire-fighting protections. These are the new generation plates created by modification of existing for many years and known in the home and foreign markets Palstop® P plates, classified as the non-flammable constructional materials (the DIN 4102-A1 class).

Fire – protecting inserts for aluminium and steely profiles used for production of the glazed façade and window - door systems. These inserts have a laminar structure, increasing in this way their mechanical strength and improving the cooling – insulating properties. Inserts are used to increase the fire – resistance of the glazed constructional elements like door, windows, partition walls, facades.

After covering with the protective foil of the 4102-B2 class, Palstop®P becomes a swelling constructional material of the DIN 4102-A2 class. In case of fire it, swelling, fills up any gaps, does not allow to pass to smoke and fire. In the form of gaskets, it can be used for doors and windows.
